Red Flag Laws for Driving on Roads

I need to do some hauling of some heavy equipment. I need to know what the state laws are for red flags on trailers. I’m going to be hauling stuff across the country and I need red flags. what area bulls maker break if I need a red flag or not? I know that it matters how long the object is past the vehicle.

If I could figure out how many feet is for the state lol that would be good. The stuff I’m going to be hauling is going to stick out of my trailer. I’m also wondering if a lot changes if it is in a pickup truck. When it’s all said and done I just need to know how long objects can beat and stick out from the vehicle.

I’m also guessing that the large might be different in different states. maybe I’m wrong on this and they’re all the same basically but that’s my question.
