How Much Does It Cost to Paint a Car

I would say we get sent this question at least a couple times a day. it drives me bananas that people just don’t learn about this a little bit more. Paint jobs are not cheap and there’s no way around it. I’m gonna tell you a little bit about what is involved in the cost of a paint job. because unlike other things you cannot do this cheap.

Let’s talk about what is involved in the paint prep.

What it comes down to it the paint job is actually not the hardest work. what usually wind up being the hardest working the prep work. people don’t understand how much cost and time goes and up prepping the old paint for new paint. before you apply new paint over old paint,  you must prep the old paint.

And if you plan on fixing any dents in the car you’re going to have a lot more work than I am I ready then talk about. fixing dents is an art of its own. auto body work is a whole different world for me even painting. I don’t think that any of this stuff is easy by any means. if you plan on learning this stuff yourself you better set aside some dedication.

Now let’s jump in the what kind of tools do you want me. just it even be able to use a lot of spray gun you’re going to need a 500 dollar compressor. there are more tools involved than the average person knows. just like anything else in this world and expertise takes a lot of tools. little things you don’t think about our sandpaper of the air tools excetra. Now that you have all the tools an experience and knowledge on how to do this you are now ready for a paint booth. because you can just paint the car anywhere. with the amount of dust in the air a paint booth is a much needed. Even a do it yourself paint booth it cost a couple 100 dollars.
