Want a Racing Car in Your Garage?

If you are a racing fan and love the feel of a V8 engine through your body as you speed off in a car which can do zero to a hundred in under ten seconds but you don’t have the money to spend of a $500,000 car then don’t be disappointed as there are numerous swift vehicles you can purchase for under $50,000. We’re not talking about purchasing second hand cars but new cars which were built to be economic racers. If anything the cars we’ve listed below can gives cars that cost twice or thrice as much a run for their money.

Corvette 2011

The Corvette is America’s favorite race car which was originally created just after the Second World War to fuel the new sports car boom. Today however, the 2011 Corvette stands as a testament to the vehicle’s great performance and now its ultra affordable price tag of around 50K puts it within the reach of the budget enthusiast. The Corvette 2011 is made from light weight carbon fiber combined with aluminum which is usually used for the frame of the car but allows for it to go from zero to sixty in under 4 seconds.

The Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang costs around 23K and is a muscle car, sports car and an overall sexy car all built into one. While the Ford Mustang 2012 is a tad bit slower than the Corvette it still manages to go from zero to sixty in under ten seconds. The new model sports a powerful V6 engine which is not only fast and more stable but also gives great fuel economy which is great for people who want to avoid gas guzzling sports cars workout to be more expensive to run than what they actually cost.

The Chevrolet Camaro 2011

The Camaro can go from zero to sixty in 4.6 seconds thanks to its 312 hp V6 engine which is connected to a 6 speed manual / automatic transmission. While the Camaro may not be the fastest kid on the block is certainly one of the more affordable ones costing just under $25K. However, price alone is not a reason to purchase the Camaro since it also has excellent handling, is light weight and looks great. However, the Camaro has limited trunk space and tends to be cramped when riding in the back seat.

The Mazda Miata

The Mazada Miata is a small, light weight and a really fast car which costs under $25K. The concept for the Miata is an inspiration from 80’s British sports cars. The Miata is reliable, cheap and really satisfying especially when compared to cars over the $100,000 mark. A proof of the fact that Miata is probably the best economy race car is the fact that it has sold more than any other convertible in the history of the car so if this isn’t reason enough to get the Mazda Miata then God knows what is. The only drawback is its limited trunk space, somewhat cramped headroom for the driver and an interior which takes some getting used to.
